The CT/NG/TV Simplicity Panel utilizes a multiplex real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay for the qualitative identification of nucleic acids from Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Trichomonas vaginalis
This method is highly accurate, extremely sensitive, and is used to identify these organisms by amplifying and detecting genetic material of pathogens in samples
